Social Wall

A Social Wall is an awesome low cost marketing channel for your cause or event which does not require any effort from you to setup or maintain. It’s visually attractive and invites people to read information about your cause and invites them to follow you. Social Walls can contain content from multiple sources like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, YouTube, RSS, Flickr, Pinterest, Vimeo and more. Read on!

What is a Social Wall?

A Social Wall is a single (branded) webpage which displays all your own tweets, tweets with your event hashtag (so also tweets from others) and may contain content and posts from a wide variety of social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, Google+ and Pinterst, to name a few. We can even integrate RSS feed(s) from your own website so people stay up-to-date on what’s happening on all these networks through a single webpage.

The Social Wall can be used at your offline event and can be shown through beamers, TV’s, video screens and large video walls. It’s an attractive marketing channel at very low costs.

For who?

Social Media is hot. Especially Twitter is used at offline events like business events, seminars, concerts, live shows but also at elections and campaign time and during sports events. A Social Wall is also a great eye-catcher at your TweetUp event.

Event organizers who want the event to be successful should focus on integrating social media and should offer their audience an easy and attractive way to get involved. Obviously for marketeers and event organizers costs should be low and a solution should not need any work to maintain. Also for marketeers and event organizers a (private) Social Wall can be used as a monitoring tool.

Alternatives?

Sure, there are alternatives. But note that several of these free solutions do have advertisements or you have to pay for certain functionalities. You should be careful with streams built in Flash. Flash is not supported on iOS devices like iPhones and iPads. If you use such a stream, around 50% of your audience is NOT able to use the stream! We don’t use Flash and have no hidden or recurring costs.

Design

The look and feel of your Social Wall is important. There are three possibilities regarding the design of your Personal Wall.

  1. The first option is to take over the design of your own (corporate) website/weblog, if you own one. Your Social Wall page will have the same look and feel.
  2. Secondly, if you don’t have a website or weblog, you use our standard design.
  3. The third option is that we create a custom layout for you. This requires your input regarding the different aspects like fonts, colors, background, images, etc.

Wrapup

A Social Wall is a must have at live events. It stimulates interactivity; attendents who post on Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or on any other supported social networks, will see there message appear on the wall, live at your event. It’s also a great way to engage with people who are not able to attend your event; they acces the wall from home, at work or on the road.
